Meanwhile, the Chief Minister of Delhi has filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the order of the Delhi High Court seeking an urgent hearing. The Supreme Court is expected to hear the case on Friday morning. Earlier, a division bench of the Delhi High Court heard Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s interim relief application challenging the validity of the summons and certain orders issued to him by the enforcement department in an excise policy case and saying ‘no coercive action’ was taken against him. Prohibitory order 144 has been imposed outside the Delhi Chief Minister’s residence to show support to Aam Aadmi Party leaders and supporters. Officials said the road leading to his official residence at Civil Lines in north Delhi was barricaded and additional police deployed there.
