Paytm Payments  வங்கி பிரிவின் தலைவர் மற்றும் குழு உறுப்பினர் பதவியில் இருந்து விஜய் சேகர் ஷர்மா விலகியதாக கூறப்படுகிறது. ரிசர்வ் வங்கி அதன் பேமெண்ட் சேவை செயல்பாடுகள் குறித்த கவலைகள் காரணமாக அதை ரத்து செய்ய உத்தரவு பிறப்பித்தது.

பேமெண்ட்ஸ் வங்கியின் பேமெண்ட் சேவை செயல்பாடுகள் தொடர்பாக ரிசர்வ் வங்கி ரத்து உத்தரவு பிறப்பித்த இரண்டு வாரங்களுக்குப் பிறகு அமலாக்க இயக்குனரக அதிகாரிகள் இந்த வழக்கை விசாரணைக்கு எடுத்துக்கொண்டதாக தகவல் வெளியானது. இந்த அறிக்கை வெளியான 15 நாட்களுக்குப் பிறகு, தலைவர் பதவியில் இருந்து விஜய் சேகர் சர்மா ராஜினாமா செய்ததாக பிடிஐ செய்தி நிறுவனம் ட்வீட் மூலம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

இந்திய அரசுக்குச் சொந்தமான மத்திய வங்கியின் முன்னாள் தலைவர் சீனிவாசன் ஸ்ரீதர், பாங்க் ஆஃப் பரோடாவின் முன்னாள் நிர்வாக இயக்குநர் அசோக் குமார் கார்க் மற்றும் இரண்டு ஓய்வுபெற்ற ஐஏஎஸ் அதிகாரிகள் காலிப் பதவிக்கு வாரியத்தில் இணைவார்கள்.

Paytm Payment Bank மூலம் மோசடி நடந்திருக்கலாம் என்ற சந்தேகத்தின் பின்னணியில் ED அதிகாரிகள் முதற்கட்ட விசாரணையை மேற்கொண்டனர்.

ஆன்லைன் கட்டண சேவை வழங்கும் Paytm Payment Bank இன் அனைத்து சேவைகளும் பிப்ரவரி 29 க்குப் பிறகு ரத்து செய்யப்படும் என்று RBI அறிவித்த ஒரு மாதத்திற்குப் பிறகு இந்த வளர்ச்சி ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது.

பிப்ரவரி 29ம் தேதிக்குப் பிறகு, ஆன்லைன் பேமெண்ட் சேவை வழங்கும் பேடிஎம் பேமென்ட் வங்கியின் அனைத்து சேவைகளும் ரத்து செய்யப்படும் என ரிசர்வ் வங்கி உத்தரவு பிறப்பித்துள்ளது. Wallet மற்றும் Fasttag உள்ளிட்ட அனைத்து சேவைகளையும் நிறுத்துமாறு Paytm ஐ ரிசர்வ் வங்கி கூறியுள்ளது.

Paytm இன் பேமென்ட் வங்கியின் கட்டணச் சேவை செயல்பாடுகள் குறித்து கவலையை வெளிப்படுத்திய ரிசர்வ் வங்கி, “வெளிநாட்டு ஏஜென்சிகளின் விரிவான தணிக்கைக்குப் பின்னரே இந்த நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்பட்டது மற்றும் வங்கியில் தொடர்ந்து மீறல்கள் காரணமாக குறிப்பிடத்தக்க மேற்பார்வைக் கவலைகள் எடுக்கப்பட்டது” என்று தெளிவுபடுத்தியது.

மார்ச் 11, 2022க்குள் புதிய வாடிக்கையாளர்களை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வதை நிறுத்த வேண்டும் என்று Paytm Payments Bank நிறுவனத்திடம் கூறியதாக RBI தனது உத்தரவில் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளது. இந்த உத்தரவை அடுத்து Paytm பேமெண்ட் வங்கியின் இயக்குனர் மஞ்சு அகர்வால் ராஜினாமா செய்தார்.

The Enforcement Directorate took up the case two weeks after the Reserve Bank issued a cancellation order on Payments Bank’s payment services operations, it was reported. 15 days after the report was published, Vijay Shekhar Sharma resigned as chairman, PTI news agency reported in a tweet.

Former state-owned central bank chairman Srinivasan Sridhar, former managing director of Bank of Baroda Ashok Kumar Garg and two retired IAS officers will join the board to fill the vacancy.

ED officials have conducted a preliminary investigation against the backdrop of suspicions that fraud may have taken place by Paytm Payment Bank.

The development comes a month after the RBI announced that all services of online payment service provider Paytm Payment Bank will be canceled after February 29.

RBI has issued an order that after February 29, all services of Paytm Payment Bank, which provides online payment services, will be cancelled. RBI has asked Paytm to stop all services including Wallet and Fasttag.

Expressing concern over Paytm’s payments bank’s payment services operations, the RBI clarified that “the action was taken only after a comprehensive audit by foreign agencies and significant supervisory concerns due to ongoing violations at the bank.”

In its order, the RBI said it has told Paytm Payments Bank to stop accepting new customers by March 11, 2022. Paytm Payments Bank Director Manju Aggarwal has resigned following this order.
